In 2005 Xafinity Skillbase was awarded the contract to design, test and deliver a comprehensive programme of leadership and development training for around 600 managers across the supply chain division of Sainsbury’s.

The project involved defining the key challenges facing managers and aligning these with Sainsbury’s leadership behaviours Close co-operation with distribution centres and regional locations allowed the Xafinity Skillbase team to fully understand the challenges.

A range of classroom based training events around learning and managing people, process and change management were delivered throughout the UK. These were supported by distance learning materials addressing leadership challenges and supporting managers in with a personal assessment and development process.

Accreditation was made in partnership with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
