Robert is an actuary who has worked for Xafinity Consulting for nearly 15 years.  Leading the Transaction Services team for a number of years he has conducted due diligence and post deal rationalisation for a number of transactions particularly in the private equity arena.  In more recent times, Robert was appointed as the head of Xafinity’s Corporate Solutions practice. 

Robert’s consulting expertise has been applied to several multinational and FTSE100 companies.  With a speciality in managing DB risks, he has advised many companies on, for example, pension buy-out arrangements including some complex and innovative deals.

Specialist advice to employers on pensions and employee benefits strategy with particular emphasis on scheme funding negotiations, pension accounting disclosures, pension liability and risk reduction is Robert’s forte.  He also guides companies through the myriad of options when dealing with the impact of poor investment performance and the financial well being of their company.

Robert was instrumental in the development of Xafinity Model Solutions, an online actuarial modelling tool that helps companies to visualise the financial risks inherent within their current portfolio and arrive at an asset allocation that will deliver the optimum strategy, for the level of volatility and risk appetite of their company.

Robert is a graduate of Oxford University (St Catherines College) and has over 20 years experience in the pensions industry.  Before taking up his role at Xafinity in 1995, Robert worked for Sedgwick Noble Lowndes and Mercers.
