PPI Review Update

Payment Protection Insurance (PPI) complaint handling and review work remains high on the agenda for all providers.  

Volumes of business as usual cases are continuing to grow due to sustained media attention and the activities of Claims Management Companies.  The High Court verdict regarding PS 10/12 has only compounded this situation, with many providers commencing their retrospective review projects to contact non-complainants.  

These factors have led to a rise in PPI redress payments, with over £1billion paid out over 2011 alone.
