After deciding on my career I looked for a company that could provide both a comprehensive training/study package and a friendly and social work environment. Xafinity Consulting provided all of this.
My first few weeks consisted of training, both basic and specific, while working and learning within the office. During this early period I gained an insight to the company, while shadowing colleagues, as well as meeting up socially outside of work. I was also given an opportunity to work in other departments – specifically investment - which broadened my experience and gave me a greater in-depth understanding of the job.
Having been at Xafinity Consulting now for just over two years I am amazed at how much I have learned. I have been involved with many different jobs ranging from individual calculations and severance exercises to valuations and sale and purchase work. At Xafinity Consulting every opportunity to get involved with all types of work is encouraged and this promotes personal growth early on in your career. Projects equally involve working as a team as well as individual work allowing you to develop both these skills.
Xafinity Consulting provide an extensive study package which is constantly developing and adjusting to meet students’ needs. Included within this package is study material, study leave, tutorials, marking, study mentors and the recent assignment of members of staff to their specialist subjects, so that students with subject-specific difficulties know who to approach for advice. External to the exams Xafinity Consulting also maintains employees’ development with regular in-house training session on current issues.
I have found Xafinity Consulting to be a very welcoming and fun company. Socially, there is always an event on the go whether you are into wine tasting, a night out at the races, bowling, soft ball, pub quizzes or simple a night out with friends.
